Day 1

Home - Perth
After our flight to Perth, take time to purchase your own lunch before exploring Kings Park and Botanic Garden, one of the largest inner-city parks in the world. Enjoy sweeping views of the Swan River and Perth's skyline while taking in the stunning native gardens. We then continue touring Perth's city sights before settling into our accommodation for the next two nights.

Day 2

Perth - Nambung National Park - Cervantes
Today enjoy some uniquely Western Australia experiences. Travel through the Swan Valley to New Norcia, home to Australia's only Benedictine Abbey, full of history, art and architecture. Visit the famous Benedictine Community Museum and Art Gallery where you will find extraordinary artefacts dating back to when New Norcia was an Aboriginal mission. Hear the local history before viewing the chapel and museum artefacts gifted to the monastery by Popes and Royalty of Spain. Continue on for an easy paced walk through the Pinnacles Desert and see the Pinnacles from the lookout over the park. If time permits, stop at the Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre before returning back to Perth along the Indian Ocean Drive, for a later than usual dinner.

Day 3

Perth - Start of the Indian Pacific
Farewell our accommodation this morning after breakfast and travel via Cottesloe Beach, Hillary Boat Harbour and spend some time discovering the Freemantle area with a local guide. Late morning visit the Fremantle Prison for a Behind Bars Tour before purchasing your own lunch in Freemantle. This afternoon, transfer to the East Perth Railway Station to enjoy the pre-departure entertainment prior to boarding the Indian Pacific where we'll be welcomed on board by one of the friendly Hospitality Attendants, who will acquaint us with our cabin and arrange our dining and Off Train Experience bookings for the journey. Tonight, a delectable dinner is served on board, featuring contemporary Australian cuisine seasonal and regional flavours.

Day 4

Indian Pacific - Kalgoorlie - Cook
Awake to see the sunrise unfold across Australia's largest outback town, Kalgoorlie. This morning, we'll delve into this mining town's fascinating past and present, with a visit to the region's gold-rush era, now modern-day, Super Pit mine. Decide how you want to explore Kalgoorlie with a choice of Off Train Experiences, including morning refreshments. Reboard the train mid-morning for brunch, with the remainder of the day on board at your leisure. Sit back and enjoy the hospitality as you take in spectacular views of the seemingly endless expanse of the Nullarbor Plain as we cross borders and time zones. This evening, enjoy a stargazing experience near the almost-ghosttown of Cook, where a canopy of stars unspoilt by light is breathtaking.

Day 5

Indian Pacific - Barossa Valley
Spend the morning travelling through the pastoral lands and communities of remote South Australia as the Indian Pacific passes through the Flinders Ranges, Spencer Gulf and the Adelaide Plains. Mid-afternoon, the train pulls into Long plains, where we'll disembark and transfer to the Barossa Valley. Enjoy a signature dining experience at Seppeltsfield Winery before returning to the Indian Pacific to retire for the night.

Day 6

Indian Pacific - Broken Hill
Crossing another border during the night, you'll wake up in Broken Hill, New South Wales. Enjoy a hearty breakfast, ready for the day's activities in the Silver City. You'll have a choice of Off Train Experiences, before returning to the train for lunch. Admire the scenery as the Indian Pacific travels through regional New South Wales, enjoying dinner and our final night exploring Australia by train.

Day 7

Indian Pacific - Blue Mountains - Sydney - Home
The Blue Mountains is known for its soaring sandstone ridges wrapped in native flora. This World Heritage-listed area marks your final stop of our rail journey. Bid farewell to our hosts before enjoying today's Off Train Experiences. Later, we will join back together to travel via chartered transfer back to Sydney Central Station. On arrival into Sydney, our Queensland passengers will be transferred to the airport, and our New South Wales passengers will continue back to The Hunter.

Twin Cabins have ensuite facilities and Single Cabins have wash basins-showers and toilets are located at the end of the carriage. If twin sharing, please note that one person will be required to climb to the top bunk bed.
